Where I'm From
I am from cast iron pots and pans, from joy and tide. I am from the farm, (cattle, sheep and hard work). I am from the thistle and thorn, the rose of eve. I am from camping and swimming, from Lloyd and Roseann. I am from the brush your hair, and brush you teeth. From do your chores and go out and play. I am from Rexburg, hamburger and hotdogs. From the old dog under the wagon, the kind gentle soul, and the prayer over dinner of long ago. I am from old boxes in storage, whose memories are long gone. But the dreams of love are shared by all and none.
